September 23, 2024 – Congressional leaders unveiled a bipartisan, bicameral agreement on a three-month Continuing Resolution (CR) to fund the federal government through December 20, 2024. Included in the CR is a one-year delay in PAMA cuts and data reporting, until January 2026. The House is expected to vote on the CR as early as Wednesday and Senate action will follow. While this potential short-term PAMA relief is welcome, ASCLS remains focused on securing long-term PAMA reform in an end of year legislative package.
